Participated in a directed independent study at the Centre for the Arts in Human Development in 1997 and 1998. The Centre utilizes the creative arts therapies and applies them to promote growth and development for people with intellectual, developmental and mental health disabilities. This required a thorough research paper on the politics of special populations. The production was "The Winds of Oz". All the lead actors are participants at the Centre for the Arts in Human Development. It is a model of social integration with Concordia students acting as coaches, shadows and supporting actors. The lead actors were each given the opportunity to develop their own roles to use their interests and natural talents. It combined the use of dance/movement, music/dance, and dramatic arts to elicit the actors fullest potential.
